SUMMARY:The Peasants' Revolt 1381
DESCRIPTION:A talk by Matt Lewis \n\n\n\nIn the summer of 1381\, an uprising remembered as the Peasant’s Revolt set London ablaze and almost burned down the political structures of Medieval England. After its collapse\, the revolt was presented by the government as a rabble of voilent thugs but they weren’t peasants and it wasn’t really a revolt. The stories of people at the centre of what contemporaries called the Great Insurrection can help us unveil the true story of a moment that almost changed England forever.
