CANCELLED

I very much regret that in light of the worsening situation with pandemic Coronavirus we have decided that we must cancel this meeting on 31st March

This is particularly regrettable as the talk had generated so much interest, but I’m sure that everyone will understand why this decision was inevitable

We will review later talks closer to the time as the situation becomes clearer

Chairman, Lapworth Local History Group

A Talk by Carolyn Ewing

The history of the Hatton Asylum provides an insight into how the Victorians  treated the mentally ill. The Hatton records are kept at the Warwick County Record Office and include admission notes, case books and photographs.
This illustrated talk by archivist, Carolyn Ewing will introduce this intriguing collection and tell the stories of some of the people who were treated there.
